Done with the Cold, now bring in the games

Winter is a glorious time of the year.. but also it reminds me of how much fun I can have in the warmth of my own home. After whatever holiday event that has pulled me an my family out of the house, I like to come back in as a family, make some hot cider and pull the family together for a board gaming time.

My family is in love with both board and card games. I am just happy that I can find a response for my family together and have fun together. So when your family get snowed in this winter, be prepared and have the board games ready!

The season of lights and cocoa

Oh winter, the time of year where the family gets together for not just one large family holiday but two. Now, that we have gotten Thanksgiving out of the way, now we are geared up for Christmas. Finally, it is time for Christmas music and snow! A family tradition that we have been doing for years in going out as a family and seeing the lights.

Now, I know that people usually just do this from the warmth of the car but I feel that you lose something if you are not out walking in it. There is something surreal about walking around in the Christmas light world. So for this year, I recommend everyone go out, get all bundled up for the cold and make some hot cocoa. View the world not through the looking glass of your car but from the great outdoors.
